Private In-home breastfeeding support:
Sessions last about an hour and a half. Range of care includes:
  • Mother and Baby Health History
  • Positioning and Latch
  • Breast and Nipple Pain
  • Engorgement
  • Plugged Ducts
  • Mastitis
  • Overactive Let-down
  • Low Milk Supply
  • Colic and Reflux
  • Poor Weight Gain
  • Pumping and Bottle feeding

What to Expect
  • Review of maternal and infant health history, birth and breastfeeding experience
  • Physical assessment of mother's breasts and baby's oral anatomy.
  • Baby weight check, including pre- and post-feeding weights.
  • Hands-on assistance while feeding.
  • Ability to ask questions in a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Newborn care teaching.
  • A report to the mother's physician and/or baby's pediatrician, (if necessary).
  • 24-48 hr follow-up.

              Breastfeeding and Newborn Care Class
              • 2 hr personal or group prenatal breastfeeding instruction

              Please contact your private health insurance provider to find out if you are eligible for reimbursement. A superbill may be provided upon request.
